Ah, amore. You gotta love that "can't eat, can't sleep, can't think" feeling. We all have playlists that help convey our emotions, and Spring--my main character in Definitely, Maybe in Love--explains why she is on an "all-chick musical kick." Bossy and opinionated (though adorably sexy), Henry sets out to widen Spring's (ahem) musical exposure with a playlist of his own: All male singers and all with one similar "theme." :)
TO PLAY: Tell me your favorite make out song, either on Twitter using #HenryPlaylist, or in the comments (don't forget your email addy). If you're the winner, the prize is an iPod shuffle, and your song will be added to the official "Spring's Education of the Mail Voice" playlist...straight from Henry.
(Warning: per Spring, no Marvin Gaye, no Prince and no Barry White. That’s just too easy.)

Adage Matthews Band and Fleetwood Mac. Best make out song Justify my love by Madonna. That beat! Also love Nikki by prince but oh so dirty.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your smart phone meant DAVE Matthews Band. ;)
Delete"I Need You Tonight" by INXS <3
ReplyDeleteDave Matthews Band & Fleetwood Mac
Oh, good one. I do love INXS! "So slide over here, and give me a moment..." Nice!
DeleteFleetwood Mac & DMB are the two I remember from the book. And I've always loved "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. Sexy!
ReplyDeleteYes, very sexy song. Nice choice.
DeleteDon't forget to include your email addy, guys! :)
Fleetwood Mac and Rob Thomas. Best make out song, I'd have to say Just Another Girl by Pete Yorn - he has the sexiest voice!
ReplyDeleteI've loved that song ever since the day I heard it on Dawson's Creek. Excellent choice!
DeleteI remember Maroon 5 and Fleetwood Mac though honestly I'm not familiar with the latter ;P hehe. I also never thought that there are actually makeup songs until I read your book (which is awesomesauce by the way! I finished it this afternoon and I couldn't stop thinking about Henry.) But now that you're asking, I'd say"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. It has always been a fave of mine and it was the song my fiance (he's my hubby now) sent to my phone on my birthday before we got married :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm in love with Knightly. Hope there's a second book.
Thanks so much!

"You're Beautiful" is a great song.
DeleteI'm in love with Knightly, too. heehee. There is a second book (Jane Austen's "Persuasion" this time). It doesn't follow Spring and Henry but they're in it! <3 Thanks for playing!
Collide - Howie Day! Saw him in concert a few years ago and he actually described it as his make out song... It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, funnily enough "Collide" used to be on an earlier version of Henry's Playlist. Well done! mmmmmm.....
DeleteFleetwood Mac and Dave Mathews Band. My favorite song is Wicked Game by Chris Isaak.
ReplyDeletewadehfan2000@yahoo.com
Boy oh boy. Yeah, nothing quite as sexy as Wicked Games. Great suggestion!
DeleteGoing Old School....Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing...that song just comes to mind

I used Dave Matthews Band (pretty much the entire Crash CD) in my novel Good Intentions. I also like "Sweet Jane," the Cowboy Junkies version, and "Fade into You" by Mazzy Star.
